Come and have your say on Life Skills in the Curriculum at our regional events.
We are very excited to announce our first ever Welsh Youth Parliament events. A fantastic opportunity to meet your Welsh Youth Parliament Members and to participate in their work.
The Welsh Youth Parliament Members have decided to focus on Life Skills in the Curriculum first as they want to take the opportunity to feed into the Draft Curriculum for Wales, before presenting their recommendations at the Welsh Youth Parliament’s next Sitting at the Senedd in October 2019.
In order to meet young people across Wales to complete the Welsh Youth Parliament’s research on Life Skills in the Curriculum, we will be holding two events for secondary schools, colleges and youth organisations in July.
Location: The Liberty Stadium, Swansea
Date: Monday, 8th July, 2019
Time: 10:00 - 14:30
-
Location: Catrin Finch Centre, Wrexham
Date: Friday, 12th July, 2019
Time: 10:00 - 14:30
There will also be an opportunity during these events to get a flavour of a range of life skills activities available from a range of organisations. This will also be a great opportunity for teachers to network and share ideas.
Here’s a draft of the sessions that will be held on the day. Those who book spaces will receive a more detailed agenda closer to the time.
· A Q&A session (WYPMs, AMs and guest speakers)
· Focus groups with young people and teachers
· A marketplace with taster stalls of different life skills sessions
