first Welsh Youth Parliament from 2018 to 2021.

statement for election to the first Welsh Youth Parliament:
My key issues are:
Transport-Low cost for young people
Health-healthy eating and sports funding
Environment-reducing waste including plastics
My name is Jonathon Dawes; I am
15 years old, in Year 11 and head boy at Rhyl High. For my work in the
community and tennis I have won various awards including the Tennis Wales Young
Volunteer of the year, Rhyl Mayors award, Denbighshire Sports award and I have
been awarded a Millennium Volunteers award. I have lived in the Vale of Clwyd
my entire life and feel I am the perfect person to represent you in Parliament
especially with the skills I have gained from my tennis and various other
roles.
I am standing because I want to
make a difference to the lives of young people. I am hard working, passionate
about the community and politics. If elected you can get in contact with me on
social media or come to one of my monthly surgeries, to raise your concerns,
and I will personally hear your views.
